  1. Usable kWh, not just rated kWh. A tubular pack rated at a certain size gives you less usable energy than an LFP pack of the same rating, because you should not drain lead-acid as deep.
  2. Life over the years, not just today’s sticker. A cheaper battery that you replace sooner can cost more across ten years than a dearer one that lasts.
